Do you mean we should just list everything we like? That seems remarkably uninteresting for anyone to read, but I guess I'll write up a list later if that's all you want.

A bit of ska every now and again is great for relaxation and just cheering you up.
I love metal but nothing IMO beats ska to give you that happy feeling.

Yasunori Mitsuda

Holy Crap! I cannot believe that somebody other than me loves Mitsuda!!! Actually, I can, 'cause he's awesome, though nowhere near as famous as Uematsu.

He's great, yes. At his best, I actually think he can be better than Nobuo Uematsu. Akira Yamaoka is easily my favorite game composer, though. I'm a sucker for melancholy ambient.

Definitely, ska and some folk/celtic punk can fix a bad mood in no time. Especially when college exam terms come, a dose of ska just picks you up and makes working on easier.

Mad Mike
Rush would have to be my favourite non-metal band, they're unbelievable musicians, even these days they can still put out relevant material. I grew up in the same region Neil Peart grew up in, it's kind of inspiring in a way to know that the greatest drummer of all time grew up only 20 minutes away from where I live.

Others would have to be The Guess Who, Neil Young, Johnny Cash, AC/DC,The Who, The Clash, Pink Floyd, pre-90s era Aerosmith, and the Beatles. I enjoy some classical stuff like Wagner and Bach, and any Donkey Kong/Super Mario themed video game music.

I always thought she was nice and OK, but in the wake of Let England Shake I gotta say I'm leaning the same way. Well, not my favorite OF ALL TIME, but definetely album/artist of the year at this time. The older albums are opening in new ways to me, too.

I actually didn't like "Let England Shake" that much. "White Chalk" was marvelous and I love what she did electronically with Is "This Desire?" but I could never pick a favorite. She is always reinventing herself, which I love about her.

Glad I'm not the only one on here that appreciates her.

Clutch and Clutch to start. For Punk, I've been listening to Fear and Dead Kennedys a bit lately, so them. For Pop, Gnarls Barkley kicks ass. The Beatles on occasion. Zeppelin and AC/DC too.

Oh, and that song Teach me How to Dougie. One of the few tracks that can get me dancing.
