Wintersun - Update On New Release
The infamous Wintersun have recently given a new update regarding a new release but in true Wintersun fashion, it's only half an update. In a cryptic new message posted on the band's Facebook page, mastermind Jari Mäenpää reveals that "It is done" without revealing exactly what it is. Could it be Time II or some other release? Reportedly, they are in negotiations with Nuclear Blast to release the material that they have been recording.
Here is Jari's latest update on things: "When I announced last week that 'it is done', I did not mean that IT is done. I meant that IT is done!
"But seriously, after almost two years of insane amount of work (not to mention a lifetime of practicing and developing music composing, lyric writing, playing, singing, production and engineering skills etc.), something big and amazing that will blow your mind has finally been completely finished, 100%! We thought (and I'm sure you did too) that this day would never come, but it's finally here. I feel I did the impossible! Feeling very proud and happy! The question now though is, will it ever be released? Well it will be sooner or later, but that is yet to be determined. I have sent a long email to Nuclear Blast and we are now in negotiations with them. That's all I can tell you right now. Keep your fingers crossed!"

I still dream of an alternate universe with slight changes to Ensiferum's tour schedule in '04. Wintersun's amazing debut would still have happened. Ensiferum wouldn't be boring. Norther, and maybe even Imperanon, would still exist. And maybe maybe maybe through some metal butterfly effect (Iron Butterfly effect?), Heidi wouldn't have left Amberian Dawn and they wouldn't suck now either.
