A bitter news are coming from the Swiss-based metallers Abinchova. Melodic death / folk metal operatives have decided to disband. In the time of their existence, they have put out three full-length releases. To conclude this chapter properly, Abinchova will play a farewell show on January 11th, 2020 at the Konzerthaus Schüür in Lucerne, their hometown.

Full statement from the band: "Dear fans and listeners, today is the day the we want to announce with a heavy heart that the end of chapter draws near. After 11 years, around 150 live shows, a demo CD, one EP, and three full-length albums, the time has come for us to take a long rest and gaze upon new (musical) horizons.

"We've experienced in the past years countless exciting moments, met a ton of new friends, and played across many stages around world, from Asia, all the way over to the Caribbean, and of course throughout Europe. We want to thank everyone that joined aloing for the ride on this incredible journey. Your support gave us strength and motivation. We'll never forget this.

"A chapter draws to a close and it remains open, if our story will ever be continued. But every good story needs a worthy ending in our opinion, which is why we want to invite you to join us on our farewell show taking place on January 11th 2020.

"In the Konzerthaus Schüür club in our hometown of Lucerne (Switzerland), we'll give our all one last time and we'll send off Abinchova from the stage with a earthshattering bang. We look forward to see you there! All info regarding this farewell show can be found through our Facebook event, as well as the official Schüür club website.

"Thanks again for all these great moments that we were able to experience together - we'll see each other January 11th 2020 at the Konzerthaus Schüür club in Lucerne, Switzerland, yeah!"

Another B-band splitting up.
Can't say I'm really mourning for it, but it's always kinda sad a(ny) bands give up before they get 'famous/big' in the scene.... or should I say before they produce something impressive.
