Rob Zombie - The Electric Warlock Acid Witch Satanic Orgy Celebration Dispenser

Venomous Rat Regeneration Vendor improved significantly on the sluggish, oppressively sane Hellbilly Deluxe 2, reinvigorating Rob Zombie with a lighter and leaner take on the typical Zombie sound that still reintroduced a lot of personality. The Electric Warlock Acid Witch Satanic Orgy Screw It This Is Way Too Long obviously tries to capitalize on the success of Venomous Rat's more radio-friendly numbers, but eschews the real substance of the last album in the process.

Nervosa - Agony

It's difficult to believe that Nervosa is only a trio. Able to wield the muscle and bulk of a death metal band without taking on too much to weight to cut loose and mosh through most of the album, this latest flag-bearer of the Brazilian thrash tradition has a thick, brutal sound that doesn't entirely save Agony from middle-of-the-road songwriting, but captures attention long enough to get the hooks in.
