Yakuza - To Reissue First Four Albums

Throughout the entire month of July, Chicago avantgarde metallers Yakuza will reissue their first four albums along with one never-before-heard release through War Crime Recordings. Amount To Nothing, Way Of The Dead, Samsara and Transmutations have been out of print for several years now and in most cases, these reissues will contain unreleased bonus tracks and remixes. King Diamond - North American Tour Confirmed

King Diamond has confirmed what has been rumored for several weeks: the band will return to North America for a full tour this Fall! The tour will begin on October 11 in Atlanta, GA , and will wrap up with the previously announced performance at Fun Fun Fun Fest in Austin, TX. Wolves In The Throne Room - Celestite

Wolves In The Throne Room. That name quite clearly means different things to different people. Upon the announcement that the band's fifth album would have no vocals or drums, and instead be more of an instrumental ambient album, a polarization of sorts occurred among the WITTR fanbase. Many were excited about the idea, but a good percent of others lamented the loss of the band's black metal personality that was to come. I happily planted myself in the former camp, and I'm very delighted to say that the Weaver brothers have exceeded my expectations with Celestite.

Slayer - New Tour With Exodus And Suicidal Tendencies

Earlier this year, Slayer did a small U.S. tour with Exodus and Suicidal Tendencies and every date was sold out. Today the thrash legends Slayer announced another tour with Exodus and Suicidal Tendencies as special guests again this fall, kicking off on November 12th in Oakland, California, playing through to December 5th in Detroit. Escapethecult - New Supergroup Teases Debut Album

There is a new supergroup in town and they are called Escapethecult. The band has announced details of their debut album and unveiled a teaser video for it. Escapethecult began life in 2008 as the brainchild of bassist Peter G. Shallmin of Siberian band Kamlath. He was joined by drummer Tim Alexander formerly of Primus and A Perfect Circle, Swedish guitar virtuoso Mike Wead of King Diamond and Mercyful Fate, and French vocalist Matthieu Romarin, from Uneven Structure. Their debut record All You Want To will be released on the 18th of August with the first single "I'm Absolute" available on June 30th.

Brutal Assault 2014 - Line-Up Complete

Brutal Assault 2014 is right around the corner and the last bands for the 19th edition of the festival are here. The final names announced include Dutch apocalyptic black metal band Dodecahedron, French avantgarde metallers Carnival In Coal, Russian thrash band Siberian Meat Grinder and Infernal Tenebra from Croatia. Some of the biggest names of the line-up include Amon Amarth, Children Of Bodom, Slayer, Satyricon, Venom, Sodom, Katatonia, and Devin Townsend, among others.

In the spring of 2013, the members of As I Lay Dying, Nick, Phil Sgrosso (guitar), Josh Gilbert (bass, vocals), and Jordan Mancino (drums), made an important choice of their own. They had seen tremendous success, selling over one million albums, enjoying a Top 10 debut on the Billboard Top 200 with 2010′s The Powerless Rise and a Top 15 debut with 2012′s Awakened, and touring globally alongside the likes of Slipknot, Slayer, Suicide Silence, Killswitch Engage, and more.
