Sacred Reich - Drummer Dave McClain Returns

As you probably remember, drummer Greg Hall was fired from Sacred Reich earlier this year after many years of service. He was replaced by Tim Radziwill at the time. Now, the Phoenix-based thrash veterans announce the return of former drummer Dave McClain to their ranks, following his departure from Bay Area metal outfit Machine Head last month after 23 years on the drum throne. Before joining Machine Head, McClain played drums for Sacred Reich for four years between 1991 and 1995.

Cannibal Corpse - Pat O'Brien Released From Jail

After Cannibal Corpse guitarist Pat O'Brien was arrested for burglary and assault on the same night his house burned down, the veteran death metal musician has now been released from jail on Friday night (December 14th) after posting $50,000 bond. The band has yet to make a statement so far.

Anthem - Release New Single

Japan's leading traditional heavy metal band Anthem have signed to Nuclear Blast Records (for the European territory) to break into the worldwide market. The first release, Nucleus, will be their greatest hits album, completely re-recorded with English lyrics. Today, they release the first single from that album, "Black Empire" and you can check it out here.

Killswitch Engage - To Co-Headline US Tour With Parkway Drive

Killswitch Engage and Parkway Drive have announced a massive co-headlining US tour, dubbed 'Collapse The World'. The trek will take place in spring 2019, kicking off on April 18th in San Francisco and running through May 16th in Milwaukee. After The Burial will perform as an opening act through the entire tour. Roadburn 2019 - Officially Sold Out

If you wanted to attend Roadburn's next year edition but haven't managed to get tickets for it yet, it's too late now because the Dutch festival is officially sold out! A few days ago, the organisers made the latest line-up announcement confirming Grails, The Exorcist GBG, URAN GBG and Fontän. Maalstroom will unite the dark forces of Dutch black metal for one special performance. There will also be separate performances from Laster, Turia, Terzij De Horde, Witte Wieven, Dodecahedron and Nusquama, Hexvessel (performing All Tree), a special collaboration between Aaron Turner (Old Man Gloom/Sumac), Will Brooks (dälek) and Dennis Tyfus titled Doolhof; Pharmakon, Twin Temple, Crowhurst, Crowhurst & Gnaw Their Tongues, Thor & Friends, Fauna, Coilguns, Bismuth, Wrong, Fotocrime and Lucy In Blue.

Plague Of Stars - Lineup Changes

Plague Of Stars is thrilled to announce that guitarist Aaron "Frodo" Caulfield (The Omega Sequence, ex-Witchden, ex-Echoes of the Fallen) will join the band replacing Nick Malbraaten, who shortly ago announced he needed to step down from the band to focus on family. Frodo will participate in the songwriting on the next album slotted to begin recording in March and will debut on stage with the band for their next show on February 16th.

Elvenking - Reveal New Album's First Details

After signing a new multi-album deal with AFM Records, Elvenking are ready to enter the studio for the recording of their new anticipated album. On January 3rd, the band will fly to Germany to enter Gernhart Studio in Troisdorf (where The Scythe and Wyrd albums had their genesis) to begin drums recordings of the successor to Secrets Of The Magick Grimoire, released in 2017. Expect a second half of 2019 release.

Purgatory (US) - Stream New Song

Purgatory (US) and Jon Schaffer strike again with the new song "In Your Dreams". You can listen to it below. Purgatory (US) was active in 80s when they changed their name to Iced Earth, and the rest is history. The first Iced Earth line-up teamed up under their original name from 1985 to record five tracks that were written between 1985 and 1987, now to be released as the Purgatory EP on December 21st via Century Media Records.

Rebellion - Split With Guitarist

After releasing A Tragedy In Steel Part II: Shakespeare's King Lear this year, German heavy metal guards Rebellion have now split with guitarist Oliver Geibig. He was in band since 2011 but now leaves on "friendly terms and in mutual consent", according to the band. Presently, the band is looking for a new guitar player that should join the band in the beginning of next year.
