When Sandra Schleret, the beautiful voice behind Dreams of Sanity, announced her departure of the band, the metal community was shocked, and all the metalheads began to question the future of the band, and of course, the future of Sandra. And here we are, after a long silence, we get to hear Sandra's voice again, in his latest musical project: Soulslide.

This promo Cd was made to capture attention of record labels, at first only 100 copies were manufactured, each of them, autographed by the band. Is also worth mention that this is a multimedia Cd, so put it in your computer and enjoy some extra features!

Anyway, let's go to the music itself, It only contain 4 songs, but trust me, you after that you'll be craving for more! The first song 'Nightmare' fails to impress me, is your typical gothic song, beautiful female vocals [I wasn't expecting nothing less in that area], and really good symphonic arrangement, that reminds me of After Forever. So, as I was saying, the band failed in impressing me in the opener song, but it suddenly changed when the second song arrived 'The Dreamer'; What a great song! It has it all, nice arrangements, beautiful orchestration, and a chorus that will stick in your head for weeks! This song definitively ranks in my top 10 best songs of the year!

The next 2 songs, 'Soulslide' and 'Alone In The Dark' are great too, again, the symphonic arrangements and the voice of Sandra are the highlights as usual. So, as I said at the beginning, I want more!

The only downpoint of the Mcd is the production, is below average, it sounds too opaque and low, I know it's a promo, but other bands are making promos with high-quality, and that could be the difference between getting attention or not.

So this is good? Yes. Very good, I don't think that Soulslide is going to have much trouble finding a record deal. I can't wait to hear a full-length album of them. Best of lucks!
