You take some Metalheads, if it's possible some really good musicians, for example some guys of Green Carnation, one other of Carpathian Forest, and one other from Trail Of Tears. You take some instruments, you put them in a studio, you mix all that, and tada !!! You have Chain Collector [yummy it's smelling goodie goodie?:D ]. Chain Collector is the new project of all these great musicians, and yeah damn what a promising demo !!! The originality of the band comes from its music, a very aggressive Heavy Metal. The band wanted to play some Hard Heavy Metal, at the end we have mix between Melodic Heavy and Melodic Death Metal? Original isn't it? I think so and I will try to explain to you how it really sounds. I can say it right now, this band will be a really blast for all the Metalheads that we are?

It's good!!! But let me try to explain how it sounds. All the music of the band is very melodic with a lot of arpeggios and evidently with a lot of great guitars riffs. The thing is that we are on the edge of Heavy and Death Metal, the voice of the singer is clean for the majority of the time [however, you'll have sometime some grunts but not a lot] but the riffs and the melodies are near of Gothenburg Death. The songs can be slow but in general it's very fast, with the aggressively that we all know when we use to listen to Gothenburg Death Metal. That's not really common to have the luck to listen a kind of Heavy which is in fact on the limit of Death, all that with a touch of Prog Metal [yeah some parts of the music are not really far to be a bit experimental, you'll find some electronic sounds for example...] I can say if you want to have a little idea, that it could be an "aggressive" and fast version of Green Carnation.
Evidently you know like me that all the guys of the band are great musicians, no problem with the singer with his very particular and tortured voice, don't worry for the two guitarists, they can plays very easily a lot of excellent and technical riffs and solo, and for the drums, do you really need anything else?
There is only 4 songs on this demo, but I understand why Sound Riot has just signed them? The four songs are catchy and perfect for your headbangs!!! This is powerful, but melodic and of course more than professional. Another good example of the quality of the work: the production. This is damn good with this Demo, but that's not a surprise however when you know that the guys recorded the album in DUB studio [the studio where Green Carnation, Carpathian Forest, Blood Red Throne and etc? record their albums].

Only four songs, but a real blast in your head? It will be hard to wait the upcoming first album of the band which will come through Sound Riot in 2005. When I listen to this Demo, I can only expect something great. If you like Green Carnation, if you like Melodic Heavy Metal or if you like Gothenburg Metal, no doubt that you must listen to this Demo [available on the site of the band]. A must have for the year 2005 without any doubts?
