Is that your swollen hymen, or you are just happy to see me?

This one goes for all of you perverts, sick people with distorted minds and twisted behavior, yeah! It's time to review a Goregrind album! Yay Metal Storm!

The subject of our review is Hymen Holocaust (kudos for the disgusting -yet funny- name), this is a one-man band, everything here was done by Morris Cliteater (also known as Maurice Van Den Broek, drums in Cliteater). He wanted to have another band besides Cliteater, and the result is quite favorable, since this band doesn't sounds like Cliteater, which I assume is the whole point of having a side-project right?

Anyway, this album doesn't surprise me with its originality, because is not, I've heard this before, but sure is well executed. The formula is quite simple, pit-shifted vocals (totally undecipherable), low tempo bass lines (as a matter of fact, the record is quite bass-driven) and nice drumming, finally a release without programmed drums!

If you want to picture the band think of their countrymen Bile and at some level, Rompeprop. The good thing about the album is that while the sound is raw and heavy, it doesn't sound chaotic like most of Grindcore projects, there's space for everything in here, for groovy sections and for brutal ones.

The cover art was taken from an 80's cult gore flick entitled "Necromantik" that was directed by Jorg Buttgereit, just for you to know.

Before I go, let me cite you some lyrics, ehem:

"I fill your cunt with snakes and eels
You just don't know how good that feels
I rub your pussy with a fish
A horse dick is what you wish"

So much food talk, made me hungry, anyone up to grab a bite?
