Even if it's trendy music nowadays, we don't have in France a lot of bands which play Metalcore and music a la Hatesphere (I'm not saying that Hatesphere plays Metalcore!). We have Dagoba for sure but this band comes more from the Nu Metal and scene than anything else and Lokurah actually should become the link which was missing between this neo Metal scene and the classic scene. I you want a good mix of Thrash, Hardcore and Death Metal "When The End Comes", the first album of Lokurah will be for you!

Big riffs, aggressive hardcore vocals and melodic melodies are in the recipe of the music of Lokurah. I must admit that the band is not really original despite the fact that they're one of the only signed bands from France which play such kind of music but I don't know why I always like to listen to music a la Hatesphere. It's full of anger and energy and it's aggressive but it never lacks of good catchy melodies and let's be honest it's always good for the live. "When The End Comes" is not a really original album but it's an effective one with good powerful songs like "My Own Death". It's a bit similar to the music of Hatesphere without being a clone, really Lokurah has its own personality and that's a good point.

The cover of the release is excellent but the recording is not perfect and sometime the drums sound a bit too much synthetic. Though the musicians are good and the voice of the singer, Natha, is perfect in the genre. The album maybe lacks a bit of originality (the bands has something special but still that's Hatesphere music) but it's good to see one more time that the French Metal scene is growing everyday with more and better Metal bands. Lokurah is one of them and I think that they will be able to become famous in the country and maybe in some other places later?

If you're looking for a good album of Thrash/Hardcore/Death Metal, have a look on "When The End Comes", this is probably not the album of the year but it's a good start so please try this band and support them, they deserve it. We will keep an eye on Lokurah, if they're able to confirm my words with their future albums (then guys don't forget to add some other musical elements in your music to become a bit more original!), we will probably talk about this band. "When The End Comes" is a good start!
