"Melanoma" is the first demo of THC (Toxic Histological Conspiracy) a band from Toulon, France. THC doesn't play Metal but more a kind of dark Trip Hop mixed with melancholic progressive music. This is really original and of course even if it will be disturbing for some of you, I'm sure that the open-minded metalheads will find a lot of interesting stuff in this CD.

To understand how can sound "Melanoma", you just have to imagine a mix of Massive Attack with dark Progressive bands a la Porcupine Tree. No drums here, only electronic beats with a lot of bass and nice keyboards but it's really dark, sad and cold and in the end we're not so far away of Metal music. Also the songs are deep and complex and some passages will remind you Progressive music a la Pink Floyd. The four songs all have classy melodies this is catchy definitely and I really believe that THC will be able to find success in a lot of different musical scene (Metal like Trip Hop or even Electro).

The vocals of Seb are really good the sound of the bass is excellent and all in all the recording of this demo is better than a ton of official signed album. Of course it will not be an album for all the people but if you like to listen to sad electronic music I'm sure that you'll like a lot this Demo. Honestly for a first recording I'm convinced and I'm not someone who uses to listen to Trip Hop in general. That's probably a good sign for THC, I'm the living proof that metalheads can love their music.

Let's see what will happen to "Melanoma" but I think that this band can become famous. Why? Just because these three guys are good musicians and good compositors and because they knew how to do a real working melting-pot of three really different genres. "Melanoma" is a beautiful demo and I can already tell you that I will keep the name of this band in my mind. Be quick to release your first album guys.
