Personal text: My parents remember that I went crazy at 10 or 11 while watching Barón Rojo or Leño at a concert -nobody recalls whom of these two played that day-. Then I met Ac-dc, Scorpions, Kiss, Iron Maiden and some other great Spanish bands of the 80's. At fifteen I found people with my likes in my city. I have to admit that I thought there were no other bands other than the ones mentioned before and never saw a metalhead before meeting them. I rescued recently a 1989 list of my favourite bands then by order: Helloween, Iron Maiden, Metallica, Flotsam and Jetsam, Judas Priest, Accept, Anthrax, King Diamond, Megadeth, Metal Church, Loudness and Mr Ronnie James. Then I got infatuated with the sounds of Violence, Forbidden, Death, Obituary... Later -from 1995 until 1999- I was a bit discouraged when Grunge and Indie came into scene and Heavy and Thrash were not so creative as once were and it was not until Gothic came into metal and Death and Black became melodic that I got fully interested again.
