Dragonland - Under The Grey Banner
[Power Metal - Sweden] In my top 3 albums for 2011. Just like Elysium it is hard to pick a standout track because the whole album is a masterpiece. The atmosphere and female vocals are incredible and the songs themselves are fast, heavy and catchy. Here are some of the really good tracks: "Shadow Of The Mithril Mountains", "The Black Mare", "Lady Of Goldenwood" [8.3/10] |

Almah - Motion
[Progressive Power Metal - Brazil] The Brazilians lead by Edu Falaschi are evolving with each release. While Fragile Equality might be a better album this comes close. With it's down tuned riffs and interesting lyrics, I think it's one of the best releases of 2011. "Trace Of Trait", "Bullets On The Altar", "Zombies Dictator" [7.8/10] |
