Nice to see both Blind Guardian and Maiden so high on this list, I too think they're fantastic. Pretty sure Guardian will steal one of the top3 spots when I get around putting together a "Top 2010" myself. And wow, lots of love for Sabaton, eh?  What a great band they are, amazing how consistent and fresh all their albums are.   |

yea...i know there are many bands that are musically superior to them, but i simply love their direct approach to create a catchy, yet solid songs
"Carolus Rex" will be high in future 2012 toplist as well i think |

100% agree with you, "Carolus Rex" is another killer release from them! Seems they get a little flack sometimes for being so-called boring/true to their style and I personally don't get this criticism a lot of the time. Not every single band needs to experiment with their sound and try to be original, some can stick to their guns and continue making great music like Sabaton. As long as they can come up with great fresh material within their formula (which they have done so far), I can't see a problem. What do you think of all this?
I only have their last 3 albums though, so I can't comment on the rest but those are downright fantastic. Do you have a favorite Sabaton album? |
