Another great year although not as impressive as the year that followed. Death metal was the clear dominant genre for me. And special thumbs up for featuring The Stone Roses on your non metal list  Here's my list for 89: 1. Running Wild - Death Or Glory 2. W.A.S.P. - The Headless Children 3. Absolutely another relevant year in metal. It doesnt have that many masterpiece albums for me but there are several really great albums released that year. My top ones are the following. 1. Sepultura - Beneath The Remains 2. Savatage - Gutter Ballet 3. Sodom - Agent Orange 4. Coroner - No More Color 5. Blind Guardian - Follow The Blind 6. Overkill - The Years Of Decay 7. Morbid Angel - Altars Of Madness 8. Running Wild - Death Or Glory 9. Cloven Hoof - A Sultan's Ransom 10. Kreator - Extreme Aggression 11. Obituary - Slowly We Rot 12. Helstar - Nosferatu 13. Rage - Secrets in a weird world 14. Annihilator - Alice In Hell 15. W.A.S.P. - The Headless Children 16. Autopsy - Severed survival 17. Whiplash - Insult to injury 18.
