Ohhhhhh shock!!! 😯😯 Didn't see people disagreeing with my top spot coming at all haha. I'm just not cool enough to have the opinion that Arise or Beneath The Remains is number one 😭😭. To be fair, I couldn't understand if I picked Root's or a post Max C album but I don't understand people still trying to act like Chaos A.D. isn't easily up there with their best 🤷. Oh BTW the top 2 probably rotate depending on what mood I'm in ☺️. But I just always go back to Chaos A.D. Personal preference, guys. I'm sure we all have favourites that aren't the general favourite amongst fans.

My reply was all in jest, mate. I expected a lot to disagree with me. But like I say, I'm always torn on Chaos and Arise. I actually thought people would say Roots or the last two albums were too high. I actually think the last 2 albums have gave Sepultura new life. I loved them. Or I thought people might say MV was too low but I think it's very overrated due to it being the first. Cavaleras just massively improved that.

Really delighted to see Quadra and Machine Messiah so high up, especially the former. The more I listen to them, the more I appreciate the composition and the general vibe behind those records. Both contain an absolutely killer instrumental and some great clean vocal parts, both are diverse and well paced. Kinda hurts me to see how easily people can discard them without actually giving them a chance. Also I've found myself enjoying Schizophrenia more and more lately, it would crack my top-5

Same for the third one, huge improvement on their previous work. Their peak IMO. Only Arise comes close.

Also, although Arise may not be my number one on this list, I'd still objectively say it's easily their best and indeed where they peaked. Obviously I absolutely adore BTR, and objectively speaking is probably their 2nd best album. But I feel like the people that like their death metal sound more kinda overrate it a tad. I think their top 3 are all at least a 9, but Arise is simply their magnum opus.

Why would anyone mean this? Lol Arise is absolutely better than BTR that's for sure. Unless You mean the new Cavalera version of Morbid then you've just overrated the hell out of that album. We get it, it's the first, so you feel obliged to put it high, but there's a few post Cavalera that's better. People that shit on post Cavalera, I just assume haven't listened to the album's. Or they maybe listened to one or 2 and decided to shit on them regardless for the rest of their existence lol. Seriously, if you haven't heard the last 2 albums then go do so, because they're more than deserving of being this high.
