So, I figure with all the staff picks and ms awards going around, I'd post some of the new favorites I've found in 2012, as well as some anticipated favs of the year! Some of these have really changed since the MS awards, since I found myself enjoying certain albums way more than others, which likely would have been on my list otherwise.

My top 5 albums from every year since 2000 w/ my rating out of 10. Does not include singles, EPs, live albums, etc. The notable omissions are in no particular order and have received a rating of at least 8.0. There are a few years that I don't have very many albums from but I'm working on expanding that. Please make recommendations! I put a lot of effort into this list and would love some feedback. A really good year, full of surprises. Never been much of a Sabaton fan and especially not a fan of Lamb of God. Both bands released kick ass albums. Avatar keep on getting better and better. Rush released their best album in 25 years. Kreator gave me one of the best thrash albums I've ever heard.

I haven't been able to listen to all of this years top albums (As voted on by MS Users ) but, I tried dammit. This year was a bit disappointing as other years have had many more 9's and so on. Still a lot of great to really good releases either way.
