Most Overlooked Metal Albums Albums I love that, at the moment, have at most 20 votes on this site. Ordered genre-wise, and not quality-wise.

2012 My tastes seem to have changed quite a bit since I originally made this list. I have since updated it to better reflect my opinions of 2012 in retrospect. A well rounded and impressive year for metal.

Quite Unusual Choices : Black Metal Similar to the previous QUC list.
May sound against rational thinking, but I highly suggest you to try out the non-MS featured bands at the end of the list. Most of them are high quality stuff. YouTube links included again, so go on and listen to some awesomeness

2011 Selections Each year countless of albums come out. This is obviously by no means a definitive guide because as of 14/12/2011, I've only heard 364 releases from 2011, but do check these albums out if you haven't already! Feel free to throw stuff at my direction. In a rough order right now and rankings get rearranged every now and again. Will be trimmed around again in January / February. Note that I still have plenty to check out though.

BitterCOld Seal of Approval! TOp 25 Albums Of 2010. weeee! 2010 is pretty much toast and 2011 is coming 'round the bend. here are my top 25 picks from this past year. top six or seven are firmly in place, the rest of the list is a clusterfuck of high 7 's to low 8's, which are likely to go up or down a couple slots within seconds of my posting this.

Os Lusíadas: portuguese heavy metal Back in the 2nd half of the 70's and beginning of the 80's, Heavy Metal wasn't a common expression amongst the portuguese. Portugal had just discovered that there was a real world behind the invisible wall built by the dictatorship that had fallen a few years earlier.
"Beatnicks", "Aqui De'l Rock", or "TNT" were some of the bands who had been releasing some singles and EP's of Hard-Rock at the very beginning of the 80's. They paved the rising of other bands that would work that sound, and release the first studio albums of Hard-Rock and Heavy Metal. It was a critical decade for heavy rock in Portugal. This chronologic list of studio albums features the ones, that I believe, are the most important portuguese Hard-Rock and metal albums until today: the best and the pioneering ones. I excluded Punk-Rock but added Hardcore and Alternative Hard-Rock albums as well. Either you're interested in portuguese music, or if you're just curious about it, or even if you are just passing by, this list will work out for you all. This list will grow bigger as the years go by of course, so if you have any suggestions, just let me know. Enjoy!
