Where's the death metal? Just sounds like black metal to me.

Definitely more black than death here I admit. It's a solid release though, it has some great disso-black elements, and at times some fascinating melodic moments, especially from the lead guitar work. It has a terrific sound and powerful guitar tone, and the background symphonic elements are a great feature that adds to the atmosphere too.
