Okay, that was a surprise. The word comming up to my mind is: "Overproduction". I mean I am stunned with the visual part (in a good way) - they already made a terrific videoclip for "Christmas Truce" and this one is even more spectacular. I love the idea of including Motörhead members into it to pay a proper tribute. I do like less they turned it into visual mess by including like every possible soldier from different countries and eras, instead of focusing on the WWI topic. But it still left me staring with my mouth open. But the real problem is the music. I think they are pushing too much. The original is so awesome for being a gentle ballad about a tragic fate of one young boy who came to war just to find his gruesome death. Also very exceptional compared to usual Motörhead songs. While listening to Sabaton's version, I feel pretty much disconnected from this atmosphere. The arrangement is as pompous as you would expect from them, but for me it is huring it. "Just another Sabaton song", though this time much better than some of their half-baked works they're tend to spit out unnecessarily often lately. Nevertheless, if they would play it live, I am sure it will be a strong and memorable sing-along moment of the show.
