Sadly I don't enjoy this one as much as the last. Technically it's fine, but I'm left wondering, if you're going to expend such effort on sounding like Iron Maiden, why would you mimic the flabby, overlong, hookless songs of recent Maiden rather than classic Maiden?

Crap, you're right, what a disappointment.

I really was hoping for another killer album with that fast paced classic maiden feeling. I also loved the vocals a lot - even though he is no where near as good as Bruce - he knew when to shut up better than Bruce imho..

I don't find this as impressive as the debut, but still quite an enjoyable listen regardless. I can understand the low rating it has received, it completely lacks originality, and to many they may seem like yet another rip-off Iron Maiden worship act, but as Maiden worship acts go, these do a mighty fine job.

The production is great and the vocal performance is fantastic, but unfortunately the songwriting seems aimed more towards Maidens later work, rather than the debut which seemed to have more of an early 80s Maiden influence, which I personally found more interesting.

For someone looking for a decent Iron Maiden retro experience, this is the best Iron Maiden album since Seventh Son.

I'd be inclined to say that of their previous album. Also, you may enjoy Monument

This Bob Katsionis' project I think is one of his best projects the last years. In this album they achieved to copy the specialty of the big epic Iron Maiden songs and that's something I love. The song Olympus is my favorite of the album. Much better than the previous one. If you listen to it as a project ode to Iron Maiden you will understand how good album this is.
