now online is a snapshot of the last five minutes. But yes, right now that number is correct in that every single IP loading the site once counts as one "guest" for the next five minutes.

Most of that is Amazon's Claude bot coming from like a million different IPs

huh I never really paid attention to the "now online" thing. There are really 800+ non-members looking at MS right now? crazy
