Better & heavier than their debut with a new singer. The new singer is better at screaming, but not so much on the calm side. "Forever the Failure" is a bonus song. They re-recorded the song, "Bleed the Fifth" from their debut thru a music video, sounds so much better. "Darkness Embedded" is a little heavier than the debut's, "Closure". "Undivine Prophieces" is a intro to "Bringer of Plagues". Songs to look at: "Facebreaker", "The Battle of J Casey", "Bringer of Plagues", "Redefine", & "Darkness Embedded"

I can't agree. Their first effort is far more interesting than this, which is mostly tiring. I agree that his clean vocals are down the drain.

Very boring death metal, simply put.

Divine Heresy's second album is weird, purely because the vocals seem different to the band's first album. The harsher vocals are much more aggressive, and don't really have that raw approach. However, when the clean vocals come in, it sounds weak, and really doesn't fit well with the guitars at all. Musically I find this album to be very similar to the debut, in that every song has a very aggressive approach in its technique, whilst also making way for a bit of melody here and there.

Death metal? I wouldn't really say this is death Metal. More a mixture of Industrial, Groove Metal and a bit of Metalcore.

Divine Heresy

Our Metal brother Joseph Payne has passed away. Another one gone way to young, he was 35 years old.
I wasn't going to say anything until I got confirmation from his family, which I now did. At this time no cause of death has been revealed.

Joe was a great friend, a great band member and an incredible
musician. Although he played bass in ‪Divine Heresy‬, he was an
incredible guitarist. I first saw him playing bass in Nile and right
then and there, I said, 'I want that guy in my band.' After having
that first conversation that night, I realized he was a great dude and from there on, we've shared some amazing moments in life and on tour, from Australia to South America to Canada to Mexico to Europe etc..

Joe was a very outgoing funny guy with a very friendly personality. He was loved by many and he loved all his fans and road friends. He never complained when times got tough on the road. He always helped everyone and worked his ass off when he was in DH and I admired him for being that way.

We love you and we will miss you Rest In Peace my friend.
