We already have stoner metal, and suicidal black metal, but what about totally fucking plastered metal? Ok, I'm really not one to hop on the bandwagon for creating new genre names every time a slightly different sounding band comes out, so we'll just use this a descriptive term rather than a categorization.

So, what the hell is it I'm talking about then? Well, good stoner metal makes a person feel stoned despite being sober, and supposedly good suicidal black metal has the capability of making the most well balanced individual reconsider life, and keeping it - right? Vilipend play a type of punk/hardcore, experimental hybrid, with total disregard of that little thing called "finesse". If nothing else, Plague Bearer is a respectable little piece of music because of the way it continues to push the boundaries of hardcore music without pissing all over what it was originally supposed to be. No tough guy, macho douche bag yelling. Instead it's an insane mish-mash of sloppy sounding punk, and some pounding doom thrown in. Mish-mash is a great word to describe this EP, at times the music is chaotically incoherent, yet always manages to swing back into some listenable experimental noise.
