Yes. Totally awesome. Old school traditional doom metal with a personality of its own? Hell yes. Despite being somewhat derivative, Anguish managed to have found themselves an incredibly distinct sound.

Don't really think the black metal vocals goes so well with the music but it doesn't really matter when the music is this good. Surprised at the low-ish score.

I would say that is quite fair seeing that 7.4 denotes something between good and very good. I would personally rate it a 7

My 9 is probably a bit hefty but I'd happily give it an 8 at least. Unoriginal it may be but it's pretty consistent and delivers what it promises. Mind you it isn't something I would return to at regular intervals, only when I'm in the mood for some Candlemass style doom which isn't.. well Candlemass.

Yeah the 7.4 (which could be round up to a 7.5) is spot on. I really like this record but if I were to review it I'd give it 7.5.

That's pretty much where I'm sitting at, too. Like their sound, like their style, but the riffs and songwriting in general aren't that interesting. I wouldn't say it's boring, but it's pretty heavy listening. Not a lot of variation or high points to spice it up.
I guess it's the riffs, really. That's what music like this lives and dies by. They're alright, but I don't think there's a single one here that makes me go "A-ha, that's memorably and clever but still recognizably doom!" Nonetheless, more than just a good album for me. At the lower end of 3,5/5.
