(5.5/6.5/5: 5.7) Ruthlessly typical. If you're going to follow the basic format, you at least need to have a sense of energy and conviction like Corpus Christii and Murg. Unfortunately, Atterigner has neither, lacking any sort of presence at all. He sounds bored. "Hail Satan?where's my beer?" The instrumentation is equally lackluster.

Yeah, hail Satan, pray Satan. For da lulz.

Except for Ad Majorem, oddly a good album as far as I remember, anything from this band after Under The Sign Of Hell wavers between utter boredom and useless crap.

Those are the only 2 essential albums imo

Kinda low rating... this album ain't bad, a logical continuation to where they left in 2009. Would at least deserve around a 7.5.

Seriously guys, WTF?! The album is indeed reminiscent of it's predecessor, but I don't see nothing wrong with that...the album is not bad at all...did you expect a progressive metal album from G?

Horrible production!! With all of the tools available today this shouldn't be an issue for a band that has been around as long as Gorgoroth. I was hoping for better. The album cover is similar to the original "Into the Pandemonium" artwork.

I actually kinda like it. Sounds pretty close to death metal, especially because of the vocals, with black metal thrown in here and there, which makes the songs themself kinda good on their own. Also some doomish parts and solos. It might be a little bit boring like a lot of people mentioned in all in one, mainly due to the monotonous vocals and production in general.

Why is this rated so low? Just because it is a huge step away from their really raw and chaotic style? In my opinion this is still a great Black Metal release with a lot of Dissection influence. Of course it is not the Gorgoroth we used to know but it is still a good album.

I liked it, but this album raised a question for me. Why has Gorgoroth never produced a studio album that is over 40 minutes?

As a death metal fan this album fits perfectly to my taste. I really liked the new death metal flavor into gorgoroth's sound and all the songs are very enjoyable and there is no weak song in the whole album.

I don't understand the criticism myself, I like the new trajectory and felt this was a decent release.
