Sutrah is the brainchild of Claude Leduc, and took the better part of 7 years to crystallize. Attempting to reconcile a wide gamut of interests and approaching death metal with an atypical color palette, Sutrah delves into what it means to emerge limited adrift in infinity. Originally a collaboration with bassist Alex Bao, the band eventually found common artistic ground with vocalist Laurent Bellmare. The compositions are an amalgamation of the trio's affection for Eastern philosophy, music, instrumentation, and culture, as well as a deep curiosity for the cosmos, metaphysics, and the question of spirituality.
