Biography

Vero was founded late 1999 by Marc Fargeo, set on world domination after a series of various bands. Dan Williams was found through mutual friends and quickly added to the band, and Vero began it's journey to success. Of course it wasn't that easy... it never is. Each day brought new problems and each day brought new paths. Through the first year of its life, Vero cut a 7-track demo to highlight the bands high work rate. Vero played as many Showcases as possible, Marc was swamped in meetings, trying relentlessly to spread the word on Vero, and the band were banging out tunes with their eyes closed. A string of Drummers and guitarists filtered through the ranks. Some stayed longer than others, but overall the formula wasn't quite there Until April 2001 when Will Sarginson successfully auditioned for the band. Will's past sessions included Cradle Of Filth and Extreme Noise Terror, so he wasn't adverse to giving it large behind the drums, something that Vero (at that stage) definately needed. A new breath of life unleashed into the band and the serious work began. Interest in Vero started to bloom. More recordings were done. Record labels, Agents, Managers and Publishers started to cotton on to the word on the street that Vero were on a mission, whilst all the time, Vero was evolving into the beast it has become. Showcases here, meetings there and photo sessions all started to take its toll on Vero's previous guitarist, and agreed to leave the project. And then there were three... As a three piece, Marc, Dan and Will had to up the stakes and work harder. The band ventured into the studio to lay down new trio based songs, and continued showcasing... in fact, more so than ever. A wealth of meetings once again swamped the band, as Vero quickly became hotter property. The band had massive interest off the back of the new demos, and were in discussions with major labels. Very near to signing, Among Giants Records called up with the deal Vero were looking for and within one week Vero had a contract on the table. Vero went into New Rising Studios November 2002 to record the debut album with producer Mark Daghorn. The album got rejected by both Vero and Record label, and needed to find another producer who could create the explosive sound Vero have on-stage. This was found in Producer Neak (who has previously worked with Funeral For A Friend, Sikth and Hondo Maclean). The band commenced re-recording the album late Summer 2003. The debut single "How Does It Feel" has been finished and Vero recorded their debut video with it. Vero finished in the studio end of Feb 2004.
