Degenerhate was started by Gianluca Lucarini in 2002 in Rome, along with two old friends, Max Varani on vocals and Fabio Fraschini on bass guitar.

Later on, recruiting drummer Cristiano Rotatori and recording in 2005, the mini-CD The End Has Just Begun, released by Mexican label EBM Records.

Over the years, Degenerhate have changed several drummers, until the arrival of Francesco Struglia and in 2010, a second guitarist, Angelo Vernati, a very good friend and excellent musician, stepping the sound to a new compact and massive step.
