Biography

Downthroat appear in late 1997 from the ashes of the bands Putrescent and Aberration. After many rehearsals and some concerts the band record their first demo in 1999 "I've Got My Mother's Eyes..." receiving excellent reviews from the specialized press. In 2000 it's recorded a promo-demo "Eye Wanna Fork You", which was never officially released. Also in 2000, there is the invitation by the Czech label Bizarre Leprous productions to participate in a 4way split cd with Cock and Ball Torture (Germany), Filth (Australia) and Negligent Collateral Collapse (Czech Republic). They are also invited to be part of the CD "Tributo to Tarantula - 20 anos " with the song 'Battle of Victory'. In 2001 the band record their first album "Verminate" to be released by Paranoid Records in 2002. In 2003 the band is forced to stop for indefinite time due to two of its elements are absent for professional reasons. It was the end in the history of Downthroat.
