Yeah I would tend to agree definitely. I think it's the big topic in France now though, Le Pen cleaned the image of her party. It was easy calling her father a nazi, it's less obvious with her. And the work of journalists..
I'm not sure I understand how you can be more or less Nazi, it's a pretty clear set of requirements to fulfill to be an actual Nazi rather than just another dickhead - I agree it's important to look out for any signs though
@Liafev I agree. But at the same time you need a clear demarcation line so you don't get distracted by discussion of where the word applies. That's a tactic right out of the fascist textbook.
Well I think if we use it too lightly (and again not saying you are at all), then ultimately the word loosing it's power. It doesn't mean anything to call someone a nazi, if everyone is called a nazi.
