OK this festival was the best one so far Carcass, Mercenary, Fintroll, Iced Earth, Opeth, Marduk, Wintersun, Apocalyptica and Behemoth were mind blowing. It's only crap that Behemoth couldn't play for the whole time because of the stupid rain
And not only the bands, also the people were great this year..I've met quite a few from all around the world and they were all very nice and I'm glad I met them.
Otherwise, the organization is worse every year. More expensive food and beer, no chance of bringing beer on the beach area, silly security guards who speak crappy english..ah.
But all these flaws are forgiven if you ask me, it was fucking great! I wish I was still there. |

Yea it was great again...In Flames, Wintersun, Apocalyptica, Amon Amarth, Helloween, Arch Enemy, Eluveitie, Opeth, Iced Earth, Morbid Angel, Korpiklaani, Finntroll...and more...realy amazing festival.
Yesterday, the last day I was quite amazing seeing Eluveitie show...which was one of my best till now.
This guys and girls realy kick ass, whic was also seen by audience response...
The rain had maybe a little ruined a perfect weekend, but anyway it was still amazing |

I found this statement on the net :
Behemoth frontman Nergal has issued the following update:
"So, we've started a festival season. Two very successful weekends behind us and I guess it's time for some reflection now.
"First of all, we are extremely excited to be part of some of the best open-air events taking place this year. What a splendid way to close 'The Apostasy' touring cycle!
"Last week's Tuska and Graspop simply blew everything away. It's been years since we played both and it felt great to finally be back there and rock!
"I just came off the plane from Slovenia. It was the first time ever we played at Metalcamp and let me tell you something — this must have been the craziest and at the same time most memorable festival in our career! We started with 'Slaves Shall Serve' and everything went pretty fine even though the monitors sucked and the whole show seemed to be a bit chaotic, but somewhere halfway through the set all hell broke loose. When the intro to 'Demigod' started the clouds went pitch black and shortly after heavy rain and thunderstorms begun. The stage was literally flooded, everything was in water including us, our armors, guitars, amps — everything. But seeing the crowd goin' completely berserk, we obviously didn't even think of heading off. We'd still go on with 'Conquer All' even though the weather conditions were really awful, then our amps started blowing up one by one, till there was simply no way to continue, but yeah, it was hell of an experience. Seems like we pissed off someone up there, ha ha.
"Thanks to all of you out there who stayed in the battlefield to the end! We WILL come back next year with a complete show, you have my word for that!
This is great to hear it from them. They liked us and we like them
So we have first unofficial confirmed band for MC 09 |

Haha, hopefully you're right I'd love to see them play the whole thing, because those 5 songs they played were mind-blowing |

I completely agree with your statement At the end of the week I was very exhausted...it's too much for me being the whole week there, but how can I resist, if there is so many great bands every day and boooze... |
