Cannibal Corpse - To Be Inducted Into Buffalo Music Hall Of Fame

This year, legendary death metallers Cannibal Corpse are celebrating their 25th anniversary as a band and now the group has been recognized and selected for induction in the Buffalo Music Hall of Fame as a member of the Class of 2013. Cannibal Corpse is the latest addition to the Hall of Fame, which also includes Buffalo natives the Goo Goo Dolls, Billy Sheehan, 10,000 Maniacs, and many more. The induction ceremony will be held October 3rd at the Tralf Music Hall in Buffalo, New York.

Lamb Of God - Randy Blythe Memoir Coming Next Year

After last year's ordeal which was only really over last month, it isn't surprising that publishers wanted to get hold of Lamb Of God's singer Randy Blythe. He has now confirmed that he has penned a memoir focusing mainly on what happened last year about his arrest, incarceration, trial and exoneration that will come out in the Spring of 2014 on Perseus/Da Capo Press in North America and Random House in the UK, Australia, New Zealand, and South Africa.

Black Tusk - New Song Streaming Online

Christopher Amott - Launches New Band

When guitarist Christopher Amott left Arch Enemy for the second time, he said he wasn't into playing extreme metal anymore. Since leaving AE he has released a new solo album, and is now launching a new band called Ghost Ship Octavius which will also feature current God Forbid guitarist Matt Wicklund, ex-Nevermore drummer Van Williams, bassist Sara Claudius, and 17-year-old vocalist Adon Fanion. The exciting part is that their debut album is already in the works and is described as "melodic progressive heavy metal".

Ashes Of Ares - Share New Album Details

In case you have been distracted, there is a new band around called Ashes Of Ares with Matt Barlow (ex-Iced Earth), Van Williams (ex-Nevermore) and Freddie Vidales (ex-Iced Earth). In theory, this could be interesting. And slowly we learn more about the project. Today the band revealed details of their upcoming debut album which will be self-titled and released via Nuclear Blast Records on September 6th as a limited CD in digipak including a bonus track as well as in two different 2LP versions. Swallow The Sun - 'The Morning Never Came' Anniversary Tour

The Finns Swallow The Sun unleashed their first melancholic death doom metal album The Morning Never Came in 2003. This debut opus is an absolute fan favorite and the band will be doing an anniversary tour exactly ten years after its release. Swallow The Sun will play The Morning Never Came entirely on all dates plus a whole bunch of other classic tracks. Obsidian Tongue - Sign To Hypnotic Dirge, New Song Online

The atmospheric black metal duo Obsidian Tongue has signed with Hypnotic Dirge Records and their new label will be releasing their upcoming second full-length album A Nest Of Ravens In The Throat Of Time in late July. John Haughm of Agalloch fame has taken lead vocal duties on the album's title track.
