Lucifer - New Album In 2018, Release First Song

Lucifer's back! The doom metallers from Germany led by Johanna Platow Sadonis (The Oath) have been busy down in the studio these past months. Before this year ends, they want to share the first song off their new album, Lucifer II, to be released before summer 2018. The doom-filled track is titled "Faux Pharaoh".

Jari Tiura - Preparing Solo Album

Former Michael Schenker Group and current Century Lost and Stargazery singer Jari Tiura has been busy working on his first solo album, King Of Lions. Due out in March 2018 through the German label AOR Heaven, the Japanese version of the album will include the cover of UFO's "Doctor Doctor" as a bonus track. The effort will also be released on vinyl, limited to 100 copies only.

Rex Brown - Covers Album In Progress

Former Pantera bassist Rex Brown, now with a solo band, has announced to "Whiplash", a Full Metal Jackie hosted radio show, that he will release a covers album as the follow-up to his debut album, Smoke On This which was released this year. Brown fronts the band and also plays guitar and bass on the album.

Phil Campbell And The Bastard Sons - Release Live Video For 'Silver Machine'

Phil Campbell And The Bastard Sons, led by the legendary long time Motörhead guitarist, have released a live video for their cover of the Hawkwind classic "Silver Machine" (featuring original Hawkwind member Dave Brock), honoring Campbell's long-time friend and companion, the late Lemmy Kilmister. The song will be available as a bonus track on the CD version of the band's upcoming debut album, The Age Of Absurdity, out on January 26th, 2018 via Nuclear Blast Records.

Shortly after the tragic loss of singer Warrel Dane, Seattle progressive thrashers Nevermore's complete discography will be available on March 9th, 2018 via Century Media. It's a strictly limited 12 disc box set covering all recordings by the band and includes all albums (some with bonus tracks), EP and live releases, plus an extra disc of rarities and previously unreleased demo and live recordings. In Flames - Announce Their Own Festival

After Epica, now it's In Flames' turn to announce their own festival. The Gothenburg legends just announced their very own two-day festival called "Borgholm Brinner", or "Borgholm Is Burning", which will be held at the infamous Borgholm Castle of Eastern Sweden's island of Öland. On each evening, In Flames will perform an exclusive headline set after a lineup of around 5 bands - soon to be announced.

Tankard - New Lyric Video Released

German beer soaked thrashers Tankard just shared with us a new music video for the song "Pay To Pray". The track is taken from the band's 17th studio album, One Foot In The Grave, which was released on June 2nd via Nuclear Blast. The follow-up to 2014's R.I.B. (Rest In Beer) was recorded at Gernhart Studios in Troisdorf with producer Martin Buchwalter. Enjoy!

Warrant - Jani Lane's Estate Sued By Former Managers Over Music Catalog

American Cherry Pie rockers Warrant are facing some issues. According to TMZ, the late Warrant frontman's managers - Just Having Fun Productions - filed a suit claiming Jani's estate has yet to pay them some hefty commissions. According to the suit, the managers engineered a deal to sell a chunk of Jani's music to a publishing company. Lane died in August 2011 from alcohol poisoning at age 47.

Overkill songwriter and bassist, D.D. Verni, has plans to release his first solo album in 2018 and is currently looking for a label to call home. Verni states: "I'm psyched to get this disc out, we had a lot of fun and a lot of great players contributed". Frontiers Records has announced the line-up of the fifth edition of its yearly label-festival!
