A legend continues. Italian symphonic power metal kings Rhapsody Of Fire have re-recorded their biggest classic songs of the "Rhapsody" years (1997 - 2002) with their new line-up. Mixed and mastered by Greenman Studios - Sebastian "Seeb" Levermann (Orden Ogan), Legendary Years will be out on May 26th, available as digipak CD and limited edition colored double gatefold vinyl.

Wormrot - Cancel U.S. Tour Due To Political Climate

Ashen Horde - New Digital EP, 7" Single, Lyric Video

Hollywood-based progressive black metal band Ashen Horde have released their new EP, The Alchemist. The two-song EP is now available digitally, while the limited 7" pressing is available for preorder at their Bandcamp page. The single is the first to feature new vocalist Stevie Boiser (Dissonance In Design, Vale Of Pnath, Equipoise, Tethys), alongside founding member Trevor Portz. It also features drums by Jeremy Portz (Allegaeon, Vale Of Pnath, Martriden). The single is accompanied by a lyric video for the a-side, "Arisen." Check it out.

Panndora - Announce New Guitarist

In 2014, guitarist Paulitchas Carregosa left Brazilian heavy metal band Panndora. Then In 2015, the band went on hiatus and finally came back in 2017. Now the band has announced a second guitarist. It's Rebeca Froeming Rastelli Perar who joins their ranks for the upcoming shows.

Danzig - Releasing New Album In May

Danzig has shared some news regarding their new album! The band will release their new record in mid-May, it has been confirmed. This is the first Danzig album of all new material in 7 years, since 2010's critically acclaimed, Deth Red Sabaoth. The title will be announced shortly. In the studio, Glenn Danzig was joined by longtime guitarist Tommy Victor and former drummer Joey Castillo.

Fates Warning - To Release Live Album/DVD

In 2016, Fates Warning celebrated the 30th anniversary of their third, highly acclaimed, album Awaken The Guardian. The mastermind of the band, Jim Matheos, reunited that era's lineup, namely vocalist John Arch, bassist Joe DiBiase, drummer Steve Zimmerman and current guitarist Frank Aresti for two special festival appearances: Keep it True XIX in Lauda-Konigshofen, Germany and Prog Power USA XVII in Atlanta, GA. Fortunately for fans that were not able to attend, each show was filmed and recorded and Awaken The Guardian Live is set to be released on April 28th via Metal Blade.

Dødsengel - Announce New Album

Norwegian black metallers Dødsengel have announced that a new album titled Interequinox, their fifth studio full-length output, will be released on May 19th, 2017 as a follow up to their gargantuan 2012 record Imperator. Metalshow Open Air 2017 - Returns

The last time Metalshow Open Air festival in Latvia took place was in 2010. Now it returns in the Ķekava municipally, on Klaņģu hill. The first bands announced were Latvian Death 'N' Roll band Sanctimony, post-metallers Soundarcade, Russia folk metal legends Arkona and Ukrainians Stoned Jesus.

Vanden Plas - To Release Live Album/DVD

German prog veterans Vanden Plas have announced the release of the band's second live album, almost 17 years after their first and only live record, Spirit Of Live. The album will be titled The Seraphic Live Works and will drop on May 12th via Frontiers Music Srl. The album, available also on DVD, documents Vanden Plas performance at the 2011 edition of ProgPower USA festival, held annually in Atlanta.

Metallica - Announce European Tour Dates

Metallica have announced that their WorldWired Tour is going to hit European arenas starting this September and will last until May of 2018. It is due to kick off on September 4th in Amsterdam, following the rescheduled Copenhagen show on September 2nd. Norwegian blackened hardcore punks Kvelertak will be the supporting act for the duration of the European part of the tour. The band has made clear that no additional shows will be added in this part of the world in the immediate future.
