Christian Mistress - Complete New Album, Announce Shows

Great news for fans of heavy metallers Christian Mistress. The band has announced a run of North American dates in support of the new album including a west coast run this July with Sabbath Assembly and a September run with High Spirits and Savage Master. They'll be playing material from the new album in addition to their first two releases, both of which will see vinyl represses for the tour. A complete listing of confirmed dates is available below, with more to be announced shortly including a fall European run.

Valborg - Debut New Video

Valborg, the German trio, just released a new album titled Romantik. If you are curious about how it sounds like, you can check out their new song below. This is already the fifth full-length from the doomsters and the video is for the tune "Sulphur Vitriol Angel". It was created by German artist Soheyl Nassary and you can expect to see some flowers.

Lucifer - Promo Video Online

Today you can hear Lucifer's new single taken from the upcoming debut album Lucifer I. It is called "Izrael" and it features Garry "Gaz" Jennings, the former Cathedral guitarist. Fear Factory - To Tour With Coal Chamber

Fear Factory are forging a new album but they are also touring in July and August in North America. And they are taking Coal Chamber with them as well as special guest Jasta, Devil You Know, Saint Ridley and Madlife. Coal Chamber are releasing a new album, of course, and Fear Factory will be touring with their new bassist Antonio "Tony" Campos. Their new album is expected this year.

Bethlehem - Calling It Quits

Due to disputes between the band members and frontman Jürgen Bartsch's illness, long-running German metallers Bethlehem are calling it a day, 24 years after its inception. The band released its latest album Hexakosioihexekontahexaphobia and the boxset Hau Ab, collecting the band's full-lengths, EPs and demos, last year.

Superjoint Ritual - Working On New Material

It seems that we are getting new music from Superjoint Ritual. The sludge metallers announced their reunion last year for Housecore Horror Film Festival and now singer/guitarist Phil Anselmo revealed that he is working on new songs for the band. Philip was a guest this year on Spooky Empire's annual horror convention and during an interview he broke the news that he is currently writing new Superjoint Ritual and Philip H. Anselmo & The Illegals material as well as being involved with a new death metal project with musicians from "across the Equator".

Rise Records - Label Sold To BMG

BMG has acquired U.S. metal and hard rock label Rise Records in a multi-million dollar deal. Founded by Craig Ericson in 1991, Rise is home to such artists as Of Mice & Men, Evergreen Terrace, Miss May I, Crown The Empire, The Acacia Strain and The Devil Wears Prada, among many others. Under the deal with BMG, Rise will continue to operate from its headquarters in Portland, Oregon under the leadership of Ericson.
