Jonny Morelli, drummer and founding member of Italian pagan metallers Draugr was killed in a road accident in his hometown of Pescara last night. He was only 30 years old. The band announced they were calling it quits just last year. R.I.P.

Stoner metallers Acid King haven't released a new album since 2005's III but there is a new one coming. The San Francisco band signed with Svart Records which will be handling their forthcoming new album worldwide. The new album, the first in 10 years, features cover art by tattoo artist Tim Lehi, and the nine-track album will be available on CD, gatefold double-LP, and digital formats in February 2015. Earlier this week, Swedes Arch Enemy unleashed their new album, War Eternal, across the globe. To kick-off the War Eternal campaign, the band launched an extensive European tour, which is currently underway through the rest of the year. In addition to these dates, Arch Enemy will also make their much-anticipated return to North American soil this October/November, where they will be co-headlining together with Kreator. Supporting them on the road will be Huntress and Starkill. This headlining trek will be the band's first tour in the States/Canada since 2011, and the first one to feature new members: vocalist Alissa White-Gluz and guitarist Nick Cordle.
