Lordi - New Drummer Joins The Band

Finnish hard-rockers Lordi have a new drummer. The band posted the following statement on their official website: "Lordi has got a new drummer. His character's name will not be revealed yet and he will be simply called 'the drummer' for now. The mask and the costume are kept to the minimum, but enough to fit him visually in to the band for the upcoming shows."

U.D.O. - Snippets Of Upcoming Rare Tracks Album Online

German heavy metal band U.D.O. is set to release their upcoming rare tracks album, Celebrator - Rare Tracks, on May 4th via AFM Records to celebrate the 25th band anniversary. Arch Enemy - Premiere New Video

Swedish gothenburg outfit Arch Enemy have released their new video for the Khaos Legions album track "Under Black Flags We March", which has premiered at this location. The video was once again produced by the Swedish director Patric Ullaeus (In Flames, Dimmu Borgir, etc.) and is the first video to feature the new guitarist Nick Cordle (from the US band Arsis) who replaced Chris Amott earlier this year.

Dream Theater - Begin Writing New Material

Iconic US progressive metallers Dream Theater's guitar player and founder John Petrucci announced via his personal Facebook that the band has started writing for their upcoming album and follow-up to 2011's A Dramatic Turn Of Events. The band will also be filming a DVD on their next North American tour, although no further details were yet disclosed.

Vomitory - Guitarist To Sit Out Three Shows

Peter Östlund, the guitarist of Swedish death metal outfit Vomitory, will sit out three shows in the month of May, June and July. The band reports: "Due to family commitments, lead guitarist Peter Östlund will sit out on some of the upcoming shows. So therefore, we have recruited our dear friends Danny Tunker (ex-God Dethroned, ex-Prostitute Disfigurement) and Anders Bertilsson (Coldworker) to step in for Peter. All other confirmed shows will be done with the ordinary Vomitory line-up."
