October Tide - Ink Deal With Pulverised Records, New Album Updates

Swedish Melodic Gloom Lords October Tide have officially inked a worldwide deal with Pulverised Records!

Shortly a year after October Tide announced their reformation, the band wasted no time and went on to release the acclaimed new album after eleven years with A Thin Shell.

Come 2012, October Tide is currently preparing and hard at work on the untitled new album, which will once again precipitate some serious mournful tunes and the beauty of darkness and sorrow have never been so sonically enchanting.

October Tide have scheduled the recording of the untitled new album at the renowned Black Lounge Studio (Scar Symmetry, Carnal Forge, In Mourning, Centinex, etc) in Sweden. The production duties will once again be handled under the helm of Jonas Kjellgren.

Xandria - Bassist To Sit Out Upcoming European Tour

German symphonic metallers Xandria have issued the following announcement about the band's bass player having to miss their upcoming European tour: "Bad luck for our bass guitar player Nils. Whilst we were playing the most recent shows w/ Epica, Nils severely hurt his right forefinger on stage which eventually led to a serious blood poisoning after the last show."

Axxis - Upcoming Cover Album Tracklist Announced

German heavy/power metallers Axxis have revealed the final tracklist for their upcoming cover album ReDISCOver(ed), to be released on May 18th. The band issued the following update: "The mastering of the new Axxis cover song album ReDISCOver(ed) is done. Bernhard's great mix was finished by mastermind Juergen Lusky (HOFA studios). After some fans and music specialists took a listen to the whole production they're all loving the mix, the interpretation and the selection of songs enthusiastically! Nominon - To Enter Studio, Update On Forthcoming Split

Updates from the Nominon camp:

"The band will enter a studio in Växjö, Sweden, next week to start the recording of the fifth full-length album, which is yet untitled. It will be released on LP/CD through Deathgasm Records this summer. The plan at the moment is to include nine songs on the CD version and then add one song as bonus on the LP version. Sheer brutality awaits!

US thrash metallers Municipal Waste have announced the release of an exclusive seven-inch EP through Scion A/V. The EP is currently streaming at this location. The band posted the following on their Facebook page: "Scion A/V Metal has partnered with Municipal Waste to release a limited edition 7". It will include the 'non radio-friendly' version of the song "Repossession" from the band's new album The Fatal Feast plus two re-recorded tracks from deep in the band's discography. Fen - Working On New Album, New Song Online

British atmospheric post-black metallers Fen have been working on the follow-up to 2011's Epoch. The band has recently unveiled a live-in-the-studio version of the new track "Consequence", which can be heard below. The track was recorded in the final rehearsals before recording started for their upcoming third album, provisionally titled Dustwalker. The album is expected to be out later in the year on Code666 Records and the band will be posting regular updates of the recording sessions for the new release.
