Accept - New Album Details Released

Legendary German heavy metallers Accept have finally released all the details for the forthcoming Blood Of The Nations.

The album is set to be released via Nuclear Blast Records on August 20 in Europe, and September 14 in North America. Blood Of The Nations ? which also marks the recording debut of the band's latest addition, vocalist Mark Tornillo ? was recorded at Backstage Studio in Derbyshire, England with acclaimed British producer and Sabbat guitarist Andy Sneap (Megadeth, Exodus, Arch Enemy, Masterplan).

Regarding Tornillo's addition to Accept, Hoffmann previously said: "It all happened in minutes. Peter and I were working on some tunes in a studio in New Jersey. Somebody suggested we give this guy Mark a call to see if he would join us on vocals. So when he arrived we started jamming on some old Accept tunes ? just for fun. As soon as Mark started singing we looked at each other and realized the impossible just happened: we found a new voice for Accept! The timing could not have been better! Now or never... We are re-energized and excited..."

Accept - New Video Online, Live Show With AC/DC

Accept is proud to announce the world premiere of their new music video "Teutonic Terror" from their forthcoming album Blood Of The Nations.

The video shot in March, directed by Dave Blass of Grid41.com promises to be the "Most Metal" Accept video ever. Asked about the "story, or theme" behind the video, the director said: "We had all of these cool ideas for stories about a post apocalyptic world, hot girls in Mad Max gear and cool visuals and the more we worked it the more we kept coming back to the basics... this is Accept, not Mötley Crüe, there are people all over the world that have waited years to see this band again, and every second that we cut away to some story that is really just filler anyway, we are missing what is really important. People want to see Wolf Hoffmann shredding his flying V, they want to see new singer Mark Tornillo singing a new Accept song, and they want to see the band ripping into the new track. So I said screw the story, get me some fire, get me some tanks and lets rock it."

The clip can be watched at this location. The band will release their first studio album in almost 15 years in September 2010 through Nuclear Blast.

In other news, Accept is going to hit the stage together with AC/DC at their show in Hannover on 25 May. The show will take place at the Messe Halle in Hannover, with nearly 70.000 fans.

Quotation Andy Siry - Labelmanager Nuclear Blast: "We are very proud to declare the signing of Accept. Like a lot of people out there, employees of Nuclear Blast have grown up with songs like "Restless & Wild", "Breaker" and "Balls To The Wall". It's an honour to us! Accept found a new voice with Mark Tornillo and working together with sucessful producer Andy Sneap will cause an amazing record - a gift for the fans out there! This album will become a milestone in the history of Accept!''

Accept - Busy Recording New Album

Accept bassist Peter Baltes (ex-Dokken) has issued the following studio update regarding the new Accept studio album on his MySpace blog:

"Just an update to everyone. Accept just started recording a new studio album in England. We are very exited and love our new singer Mark Tornillo. Andy Sneap, who just finished with Megadeth, is producing the album. If you want to know more please go to the Peter Baltes Fan Page on Facebook. I will be talking there often. Gotta go back recording. You all have a great rockin' week."

The as-yet-untitled CD is being recorded at Andy Sneap's Backstage studio in Derbyshire, England. An early 2010 release is expected via an as-yet-undetermined record label.

Commented Sneap in September: "We just had a week of pre-production in Nashville at castle Von Hoffmann , working on vocal ideas and arrangements for seven new Accept songs. Mark Tornillo is seriously on the money; actually, he reminds me a touch of David Wayne from Metal Church crossbred with Bon Scott (AC/DC) ? not a pretty mental image, I know, but it's fitting the music great. He's got his own thing going as well, of course, but comparisons are always the easiest way to describe something without hearing it."

He added, "The music is now tending to lean towards the classic heavier albums too, so I'd class this last week as more of a front-row seat watching some great songs come together rather than work."
