Brainstorm are proud to announce the title of our upcoming album "Downburst".

Guitarist Torsten Ihlenfeld had the following to say in a statement on their website: "Final coverart will be revealed soon, all I say yet is that it looks very impressing by now. Further, here are the tracks that will most likely appear on the album, not in final order of appearance yet.

We have spared neither trouble nor expense to deliver you the best sounding, state of the art Brainstorm album to date, can't wait to let you hear because this one will leave you with your jaw dropped, I'm sure! We are almost done with the mix and all I can say is that everything sounds f*#%ing amazing.

Also, we have added some more live shows to our touring schedule. Brainstorm will play the ProgPower UK Festival in Bristol, UK on Saturday, March 29th 2008 and the Metal Camp Festival July 5th 2008 in Tolmin, Slovenia. We really look forward to returning to the UK and Slovenia. See the tourdates for the complete schedule."

In other news, Brainstorm will release a new single, "Fire Walk with Me" (cover artwork), on October 19 in Germany, Austria, Switzerland and Italy and October 22 in the rest of the world via Metal Blade Records.

Brainstorm have entered Gate Studios in Wolfsburg together with producers Sascha Paeth and Michael Rodenberg to start recording their new upcoming album, which is due 25th January 2008. Preceding the full length CD will be a single release, which will come out on 19th October 2007. The single will give fans a first look at the new Brainstorm tunes. "Be prepared for a real Brainstorm from head to toe." say the band.

Brainstorm comments further: "Recordings are going extremely well so far and we are simply overwhelmed how impressive the new songs sound. These are definitely the best Brainstorm songs that have seen the light of day yet, no kidding, no empty phrases - this is the ultimate Brainstorm album so far. Really can't wait to let you hear!!!"

After more than 15 years Brainstorm and long time bass player Andreas Mailänder has decided to go separate ways. "... Since my working situation is not going to ease up in the long run I won't be able to combine it with the upcoming touring for the new BS release. I'm left with no choice but to leave Brainstorm...". "TIME To Say Goodbye!!!!!!!!!!!
15 years of Brainstorm - a damn long time!
... a dream I have worked hard for: record deal, successful releases, festivals all over the world! Endless tours, bands and friends all over the world.

Because my working situation is not going to ease up in the long run and I won't be able to combine it with the upcoming touring for the new Brainstorm release, I'm left with no choice but to leave Brainstorm...Too often the guys had to do without me, in difficult times they always stood beside me as friends, as the BS family and supported me in every possible way. I don't want to strain this friendship any further!!
I'm certain that the new BS album will deservedly bring the band further forward, the pay for the hard work of the band!! After so many hardworking years with each other, I don't want to hold the band back anymore and allow the band a kickstart for the release of the new album and the upcoming world tour. Of course I'll continue to be present through my Myspace page (http://www.myspace.com/amailaender) and will follow Brainstorm's career with mixed feelings... and please feel free to contact me whoever you are!

"Brainstorm have decided to postpone the release of their upcoming album "Liquid Monster". "We simply want to give the best possible album to our fans and due to some changes in the time-schedule of the recordings we got the chance to take some more time", comments guitar player Torsten Ihlenfeld. "Mark my words, it will be worth the wait!"

The single-CD "All Those Words" will be released the 7th of March, 2005. It will include new songs as well as unreleased tracks and video-clips and is meant as an appetizer for greater things to come. Talking about the full length album, the new Brainstorm longplayer "Liquid Monster" is due for release the 4th of April, 2005!

"This album will fullfill your high expectations", says Torsten. "We are simply overwhelmed by the new songs and the recording process which is running very smooth by now."

Because of the new release dates for single and album, the tour got pushed back a little bit. There's ALL NEW tourdates. Please change this in your files and print these NEW TOURDATES listed below from now on!

The support bands are confirmed by now. AT VANCE (Germany/Sweden) and MERCENARY (Denmark) are two great bands that make this tour a killer package!
