Fen have shared some news. Their Stone & Sea EP from 2016 finally receives the vinyl treatment it deserves courtesy of their friends at Eisenwald. The mini LP consists of 3 tracks recorded in 2015 dedicated to the crumbling coastlines of Eastern England with the material being a hearken back to the older sound of the band. The intention was to record something 'for themselves', to escape from the album cycle for a time and work on a self-contained piece.

By now, you have probably heard about how Darkthrone's Fenriz was accidentally elected to local town council. The musician is now a backup representative for his local town council in Kolbotn, Norway. The funny part about it is that he was involuntarily elected to his new political position. His campaign was a picture of him holding his cat saying, 'Please don't vote for me.' He has now taken to Facebook to comment on the entertaining story.

American metallers Mastodon are currently embroiled in a controversy regarding an allegedly racist t-shirt that coincided with the Thanksgiving holiday. The t-shirt depicts a white male pilgrim pointing a gun at a female Native American and is pictured below. Some deemed it racist. The band defended the artwork explaining that they aren't racist and simply pointed out the atrocities linked to Thanksgiving.
