Pain Of Salvation - Stream Live Song, Online Documentary Launched

Pain Of Salvation just released a very special reissue version of their 2002 album Remedy Lane entitled Remedy Lane Re:visited (Re:mixed & Re:lived) via InsideOutMusic. The band's genius track "Fandango" performed live is available now. In other news, a documentary film entitled "I Set Myself On Fire - a story about Daniel Gildenlöw and Pain of Salvation" has now been launched online. The project sees Johan Simonsson (Director) and Leif Simonsson (Producer) of Mapenzi Film following the band's activities between the years 2007 and 2014. A prologue and the first three webisodes can now be seen here.

Pain - Unveil New Album Title, Cover And More

Peter Tägtgren, multi-instrumentalist and the owner of the famous The Abyss studios, has unveiled the artwork and name for the new Pain record. The new album will be titled Coming Home. It will be out this summer on September 9th via Nuclear Blast Records. Feast your eyes on the cover artwork created by Stefan Heilemann (Epica, Lindemann, Indica among others) below.

Pain Of Salvation are scheduled to re-release their 2002 classic album Remedy Lane, together with a live recording of their performance of the album from ProgPower USA 2014. Remedy Lane Re:visited (Re:mixed & Re:lived) will be released on July 1st, 2016 via InsideOutMusic. As for news on their new studio album, it will be entitled In The Passing Light Of Day and is expected to be released later in the year.

Pain - Writing New Album, Drummer Temporarily Replaced

According to the news on the official Pain page, the upcoming shows will have a special guest on drums. Their live drummer, David Wallin, is on vacation, and so Sebastian Tägtgren, the son of mainman Peter Tägtgren, will be the drummer of Pain in the meantime. He already performed with them at Metaltown in Sweden. In other news, the band is still writing and recording the new Pain album, which is expected this summer.

Pain Of Salvation - In The Studio, Update

The Swedes Pain Of Salvation are hard at work forging their new album. These are exciting times for the progressive band as they are holed up in the studio recording "heavy" and "complex" new songs. They are at Dugout Studios working with producer Daniel Bergstrand. Also, mainman and the only original member still in the group, Daniel Gildenlöw, also revealed that they are aiming for two releases this year.

Pain Of Salvation - New Video Clip, Working On New Album

Falling Home, the acoustic album by Swedish progressive innovators Pain Of Salvation, was recently released via InsideOutMusic and now the band has debuted the new promotional video clip for the album's title track. Check out below the atmospheric clip for "Falling Home", which was shot in Iceland by director Hilmir Berg Ragnarsson and produced by Hilmir Berg Ragnarsson and Soley Astudottir. But there is more. While fans might be eager for the follow-up to Road Salt Two, prog innovators Pain Of Salvation just announced officially their much anticipated acoustic album, Falling Home, which will finally be released in Europe on November 10th, 2014 via the band's longtime label partner InsideOutMusic. This album is a very special album, which contains reimagined versions of favourite catalogue songs, two cover versions ("Holy Diver" by Dio and "Perfect Day" by Lou Reed) and a brand new song (the title track, "Falling Home").

Pain Of Salvation - Confirm N. American Tour With Vangough

Good news for Pain Of Salvation fans in the U.S., Mexico and Canada. The band just confirmed a North American tour for September with special guests and proggers Vangough. Daniel Gildenlöw now seems recovered from the flesh eating bacteria infection that bothered him earlier this year. He returned with a performance at Sweden Rock festival, the first since the illness. The North American tour sees the band playing two very special shows in Atlanta, during the ProgPower USA festival, including a once-in-a-lifetime performance of the band's masterpiece Remedy Lane in its entirety.

Pain Of Salvation - Performing At Progressive Nation At Sea Without Daniel Gildenlöw

As you will probably know, Pain Of Salvation's singer/guitarist Daniel Gildenlöw contracted a streptococcal infection (a flesh-eating bacteria) some weeks ago. Here it is folks, the first taste taken off Nightwish mastermind Tuomas Holopainen's solo album. The video for the track and debut single "A Lifetime Of Adventure" has been released and you can enjoy it right here. It is taken from The Life And Times Of Scrooge, Tuomas first solo venture. The album will be out on April 11th, 2014 via Nuclear Blast. The cover artwork on both the single and the album is by Don Rosa, the illustrator of Disney's Duck characters, who also appears on the video.
