Sonata Arctica - New Album Details Unveiled

All of a sudden, Finnish power metallers Sonata Arctica have revealed the details of what will be the successor of 2012's controversial Stones Grow Her Name. The new album will be named Pariah's Child and will be released on March 28th, 2014 via Nuclear Blast Records. It will also be the first to feature new bass player Pasi Kauppinen. Xandria - Reveal New Album Details

Symphonic metal band Xandria just revealed the details of the successor of acclaimed Neverworld's End. The new album will be named Sacrificium and will be released on May 2nd, 2014 via Napalm Records. This will also be the first album to feature new bassist Steven Wussow and new singer Dianne van Giersbergen.

James LaBrie - Announces New EP, Title Track Online

Gamma Ray - Update From The Studio

These are really months of hard work at the Gamma Ray camp. After finishing the tour with Helloween, during which they received the news of the Hamburg fire that destroyed their studio and equipment, they are now back in another studio, working on Empire Of The Undead, that will be released in March 2014 via earMUSIC.

Darkwater, Pagan's Mind, Theocracy - Contribute To Charity Track

Something awesome is happening. In fact, vocalists Nils Rue from Pagan's Mind, Henrik Båth from Darkwater, Elin Redin from End Of September and Theocracy's Matt Smith have joined forces to sing in a track composed by Smith himself and enriched with the guitar solo of Darkwater and Harmony's Markus Sigfridsson. The cool fact is that 100% of the income of this track will be delivered to The Bridge Bunch, an organization dedicated to serving the homeless population of Nashville, Tennessee, in the United States. Luca Turilli's Rhapsody - Guitarist Dominique Leurquin Recovered

This is the kind of news everybody wants to read about. Dominique Leurquin, Luca Turilli's Rhapsody's guitarist, finally recovered from the terrible hand injury caused by a circular saw. Some days ago, he shared the stage with bassist Patrice Guers with his cover band (see pic below) and he will return playing live with Luca Turilli's Rhapsody at the festival of Hodonin in Czech Republic on August 15th, 2014.

Timo Tolkki's Avalon - New Album In May, Floor Jansen As Vocalist

Time for another bunch of news from the Timo Tolkki's Avalon camp. The new album will be released around May 2014, and in that month an European tour will also start, while recordings are currently taking place in East Sound Studios in Helsinki, Finland. In March, a single and a promotional video for it will be released: and they will feature no less than Nightwish and ReVamp vocalist Floor Jansen, who will play the leading role in the successor of The Land Of New Hope. Floor adds to the guest artists already announced, as Epica singer Simone Simons and ex-Stratovarius drummer and keyboardist Tuomo Lassila and Antti Ikonen.
