Vesania - New Album In November

Sept.24.2007 - Napalm Records Newsletter

Vesania - Distractive Killusions
Release Date: November.30.2007 (EU)/US: Nov 20

The Polish bludgeoning commando is back! Racing blast beats, rapid-fire riffs, and symphonic bombastic arrangements come together with a mongrel mix of Symphonic Black Metal and Death Metal influences. Add the rabid barks of frontman Orion (Vader, Behemoth), a crushing production typical of bands such as Dimmu Borgir, soundtrack quality orchestral passages, and a technical prowess surpassing all others. VESANIA are destructive, brutal, and dominant to the extreme. The perfect soundtrack for the apocalypse.

Sandra Schleret, the new voice behind Elis, has just laid down the vocal tracks to the new version of Show Me the Way to be released on the upcoming MCD of the same title. The recording is scheduled to hit the streets in the fall and coincides with the band's tour with ASP. The MCD comprises unreleased material of the band with the former vocalist Sabine Dünser, who died tragically last year. The tracks are her final recordings--the final chapters of concept album Griefshire. Flowing Tears - Updates From The Band

June 01/2007 - The tears are still flowing...

Since rumours are spreading and we´re drowning in mails we thought it might be a good idea to let you all know what´s going on in the FT camp: As you surely have noticed the release of an upcoming album is postphoned and it has been quiet here for a while.

The reason for that is that while starting writing the new album we realized we were trapped in a kind of album/tour/album circle and felt a little bit burned out, so even though we had already pre-produced some songs we decided to take an off-time for a while rather than recording an uninspired album just to fulfill business rules or expectations. Well, this while has become quite a while indeed, and some things have changed meanwhile. We parted ways with Century Media records with whom we worked together for seven years and archieved more than we ever dreamt of, but lately felt like a part of a machinery rather than a creative band.

Well, what does this all mean now? No, this doesn´t we we have disbanded, on the contrary. After we had taken a break and taken some neccessary changes on the business side we have now started working as a band again and it feels damn good writing songs again. As business-things always take a while we´re still in negotiations with several record labels as we want to make sure to consider all options we have for taking the best choice for the band´s future.

Well, and to prove you all we´re still alive, here´s some more news: Flowing tears are confirmed for this year´s Metal female voices Festival, taking place in Wieze/Belgium on October 20th. Apart from that we´re right now in studio working on the mixes of live recordings we had taped during the 2004 semi acoustic tour. Sounds fantastic and we can´t wait to share this different side of some FT classics with you. These recordings will probably be released as a live album in the near future to shorten the wait for the upcoming studio album. Ok, so much for now. More will follow soon. Really soon this time. We promise. ;-)

Susperia - Drummer In Freak Accident

A message from Susperia's Management, 04/03/07

SUSPERIA DRUMMER IN FREAK ACCIDENT

OSLO, NORWAY - Norwegian rockers SUSPERIA have suffered a major setback in the run up to their forthcoming European tour with WASP later this month and the subsequent UK dates with ONSLAUGHT. The bands drummer Tjodalv has broken his ankle in a freak accident and will have to sit out the dates.

The incident happened when he slipped on a patch of ice whilst unloading his vehicle. He was immediately rushed to a local hospital where he was diagnosed with an ankle break in two places, which required an emergency operation. Shattered and dejected Tjoldav is now at home recuperating, with strict orders to rest for at least five months until the breaks heal. The band are devestated at what has happened.

SUSPERIA have however, confirmed that they will fulfill all their upcoming live commitments and have drafted in Anders Haave from Blood Red Throne as a temporary replacement for the dates.

Please help wish Tjodalv a speedy recovery!
