Nunslaughter - Drummer Suffers Stroke, Crowdfund Campaign Launched

The drummer of the very prolific Nunslaughter, Jim "Sadist" Konya, has recently suffered a stroke while he was at work and was admitted to the hospital. A crowdfunding campaign was also launched to help Konya pay for his future medical bills. The campaign doubled its goal in less than 24 hours and is still active here. According to the recent updates on Nunslaughter's Facebook page, Konya is in stable condition and is making progress in his recovery. Follow the band's Facebook for updates on his recovery.

Killing Joke - Announce New Album, Stream Song

Two years ago, the mighty Killing Joke have announced that a new album was in the works to follow MMXII. And now the fruits of their labor will take the form of Pylon. The new album will be released on October 23rd via Spinefarm Records and can already be pre-ordered here. This is the third in a triptych of albums, Absolute Dissent, MMXII and now Pylon. You can expect heavy and uncompromising, bleak dystopian lyrics, as well as lots of black pain emotion. To start the fires, here's the first track "I Am The Virus" below. What are you waiting for? Gorod - Launch Video For New Song

Gorod have finally given us more new material to enjoy. The French technical death metal unit has a new musical offering prepared to be released called A Maze Of Recycled Creeds, due out on October 16th via Unique Leader Records in North America and on Listenable Records in Europe. After they briefly broke up in 2012, black metallers Abigail Williams return this year with a new album called The Accuser. Slayer - Debut 'Repentless' Video

As their new album Repentless sees its release today, it's only fitting that thrash titans Slayer release a video for the title track today as well. The band released their first album in six years today via Nuclear Blast. The Americans new clip features 'Machete' actor Danny Trejo and many more during a bloody prison riot. Eluveitie - Working On Acoustic Album

Folk metal heavyweights Eluveitie have faced some line-up changes lately with the departure of violinist Nicole Ansperger and also Patrick "Päde" Kistler (bagpipes, whistles). But the Swiss band perseveres and is working on their second, yet untitled acoustic album. In addition to this, the band has also announced their first Swiss acoustic tour of 2016. Throughout these shows, Eluveitie will deliver exclusive tasters of what fans can expect from the new record in the form of some brand new material. The band's first acoustic album was 2009's Evocation I - The Arcane Dominion.

Cynic - Break Up Again (Update)

UPDATE: It seems like the Cynic's break up has turned to drama now as vocalist/guitarist Paul Masvidal has responded to drummer Sean Reinert's statement that the band was over. Paul Masvidal says that the band will continue one way or another and wasn't aware of this decision. The split seems far from amicable and we might have developments on this.

Roadburn 2016 continues to shape up with a string of new announcements today. Are you ready? Well, first of all, Green Carnation will perform their entire masterpiece, Light Of Day, Day Of Darkness, on the fest. Amenra will be playing a rare acoustic show, plus a fully electric mass; The Skull are also playing two shows. Ex Deo - To Release New Album

It seems like Ex Deo's hiatus has been short-lived. Mainman Maurizio Iacono (also in Kataklysm) announced last year that the band would be taking an indefinite leave of absence but didn't deny the possibility of a new album being released. After a few cryptic teasers posted on the band's Facebook recently, vocalist Maurizio Iacono has now confirmed that Ex Deo is returning with a new album.

Revocation - To Reissue 'Empire Of The Obscene'

Boston thrashers Revocation have been touring across North America and the rest of the world in support of their latest release 2014's Deathless which was released on Metal Blade Records. Now the group has announced the long anticipated reissue and release of the band's 2008 album Empire Of The Obscene.
