Finally, some news regarding Textures' new studio album or two rather. After a few years, the Dutch metal maniacs are about to release a musical diptych: Phenotype and Genotype. Two new albums set up around one concept. The sextet is not a band to put out an album every year in a row. The band took almost 2,5 years to write and record albums number five and six. Phenotype, the first album to be released on February 5th, 2016 via Nuclear Blast, is a song-based, 60-minute long album.

It has been a while since we heard from black metallers Urgehal. In 2012, the band's frontman and founder Trondr Nefas passed away and in 2013, the rest of the band vowed to make one final album in his honor. That album has now been announced properly. Their final album shall be titled Aeons In Sodom and drops on February 12th, 2016 via Season Of Mist. Stay tuned for details on the Norwegians swan song.

The Book Of Souls tour is hitting the States in February, March and April. In fact, Iron Maiden will open the World Tour in Fort Lauderdale, Florida on the 24th of February 2016, playing nine shows in total, finishing up at The Forum, LA on April 15th. The Norwegians Sahg have announced important changes in their line-up, and welcomed guitarist Ole Walaunet (Grimfist, The Batallion, God Seed) and drummer Mads Lilletvedt (Byfrost) to the band. Furthermore, the wait will soon be over for the follow-up to Delusions Of Grandeur. There will be a new Sahg album out in the spring of 2016 on Indie Recordings. The new album will continue in the vein of its predecessor.
