Shining (NOR) - Drummer Tobias Ørnes Andersen Joins Permanently

Norwegian group Shining (NOR) has clarified their drummer situation after being asked who their drummer is: Torstein Lofthus, who has been in the band since 1999, or Tobias Ørnes Andersen, who has been performing live with the band since 2013. The frontman Jørgen Munkeby has stated that Torstein Lofthus is officially out of the band and Tobias Ørnes Andersen (ex-Ørkenkjøtt, Leprous, Ihsahn) joined permanently. Also, the band has been recording new songs that they plan to release next year but the details are still under wraps.

Freak Kitchen - New Animated Video Released

Freak Kitchen, who released the new album Cooking With Pagans in September, have debuted their new video. The animated video is for the track "Freak Of The Week" and was created by Juanjo Guarnido (of Blacksad and Disney fame). A successful Kickstarter campaign brought in no less than a $140,000 to finance the work of drawing an entire video, frame by frame. So, this should be good right? See it for yourself here below.

Epica - Debut New Video

It wasn't too long ago that Epica released their latest album The Quantum Enigma. The Dutch symphonic metallers have been touring this year in support of that record with big European tours set for November/December and also next year. But today, the group is bringing you a new video to be enjoyed right here. They chose the track "Victims Of Contingency" for this video. The video is directed by Remko Tielemans ( Textures) and produced by the Kunstoff Kollectiv. The same team who were responsible for the Epica music video for "Storm The Sorrow". Napalm Death - Set New Album Title And Release Date

Napalm Death's new album already has a title and release date. Mark your calendars for January 26th, 2015 in Europe and January 27th, 2015 in North America. That's when you will be able to get your hands on the record. The first details about the grindcore group's new album have been revealed. Their 15th studio album will be entitled Apex Predator - Easy Meat and will be released via Century Media Records. That is all for now. You can expect more details later.

Hate Eternal - Introduce New Drummer

Hate Eternal have finally unveiled their new drummer. The brutal death metallers are working on their new album that will be released next year. And the new drummer is... Chason Westmoreland. He has already recorded his parts for the successor to Phoenix Amongst The Ashes. You might have heard of Westmoreland from Burning The Masses, or some fill-in gigs with bands like Fallujah, Enfold Darkness, or most recently Oceano. The line-up of the Neurotic Deathfest 2015 is looking fine! The organizers just revealed new names for the festival that will take place in Tilburg, The Netherlands at the 013 venue next year. The new acts confirmed for Neurotic Deathfest 2015 are Hate Eternal, Devourment, Broken Hope, Nader Sadek, Pyrexia, Internal Bleeding, Dead Congregation, Mass Infection, Ingested, Acranius and Slaughter To Prevai. Plenty of death metal to be enjoyed.

Metalhead - Clip From The Film, Screening In New York

You might of heard of the Icelandic film Metalhead (Málmhaus) before. This Ragnar Bragason-directed film, distributed by Cinelicious Pics, won't be released until early next year in the U.S., but a clip has been revealed today. The film is described as a "dark, intense drama of loss, faith, redemption, and heavy metal" and is also partly inspired by the church burnings in Norway in the 1990s.

Century Media Records is presenting a morbid triple threat of quintessential death metal with proper vinyl re-editions of Bloodbath's Breeding Death (2000), Resurrection Through Carnage (2002), both featuring Mikael Åkerfeldt ( Opeth) on vocals, and Nightmares Made Flesh (2004), featuring Peter Tägtgren ( Hypocrisy) on vocals, set for release on November 17th, 2014.

DevilDriver - Part Ways With Two Members

DevilDriver has released an update following the band's performance at Knotfest. The band's vocalist Bradley James "Dez" Fafara informed that the band has lost two of its original members: drummer John Boecklin and guitarist Jeff Kendrick. Both have been in the band since the beginning. Furthermore, DevilDriver will be on hiatus while Fafara rejoins Coal Chamber but he promises the band will comeback with a new album in 2016.
