Let me just make this contest easy for everyone and announce what SHOULD be the winner right now. Pantera's Metal Magic. Forget that it looks like it was drawn by a 10 year old. Forget that it reaches levels of homo-eroticism matched only by Manowar. Forget that it is a disgraceful entry in the catalog of a band which is truly lackluster and overrated in the highest degree. Why? Because none of it matters. You might put it in the same category as Da Vinci or Michaelangelo but even then they can't match Pantera.
This artwork transcends metal and even art itself. Metal Magic, is the artwork of the soul.

My thoughts exactly |

| And you obviously aren't familiar with the magnificence which adorns Wolf's debut album. That cover just channels the inner animal in us all. |

I thought about it. Then I figured that the one I posted captured the essence of Pantera better than anything else. The passion. The pure, unadulterated passion.
I threw it in now anyways, for the poor souls who have not yet been transformed by its majesty. |

To be honest, this whole competition would have been much more amusing/less predictable if we were voting for worst cover artwork. |

Funny you mention that because not only do I not mind that artwork it's one of the few Maiden albums I can stand to listen to. |
