Even the album cover doesn't want to be an In Flames album cover

That single cover art is quite fantastic indeed.

I agree. I probably like it more than the album cover. If they have put as much work on the music as the choice of covers, this could be good. I try not to get my hopes too high though.

Maybe the single artwork is their clever way of showing that they jumped the shark in recent years and that this is their way of getting back on form

SPOILER ALERT: it's gonna be awful

I probably won't get this one.

Just so you know: If it's confirmed as otherwise, I'm coming right back to laugh at you.

I'm probably the only one here who likes the previous album, but, yes i do hope they go back a little bit and mix things up!

Ahah That seems a bit too elaborate for them. But hey, maybe they will have the last laugh on this one.

I just love the single cover art, and I think the album cover looks good, too. I hope this album´s going to be better than the last one. The only song I actually remember from that album is the amazing Where The Dead Ships Dwell.

Well the last album's cover was also really really good imo. But then again the album was, as well. Not amazing and the vocals were pretty bad but overall it had most of the things I dig in modern IF.

I'd say modern IF massively beats out old one in terms of album arts aside from A Sense of Purpose, and funnily enough the album itself was quite crap too .
EmeraldSword - 29.04.2014 at 23:09
I dig the vibe of the single cover album. Not a fan of the full album cover, but eh... I dunno. Hope the music is better than the last few albums. I miss their old stuff, so I'll continue to casually tune in.

I warmed up to the last album after a while but I do hope this new one will be better. Not holding my breath for something as great as Whoracle or Colony though.

Yeah, I thought the last album was actually pretty good. I'm pretty much resigned to the fact now, that they're never going to release an album like "The Jester Race" or "Whoracle" again, which is disappointing, but because I'm not expecting that, the new album will be less likely to disappoint me.

Oh, and yes, that single artwork is awesome! With any luck, the song itself will be as good, but that would surprise me.
SyntheticBreed - 08.06.2014 at 23:16
New single is disappointing even by new In Flames sound. Hope it's better than their last album. I did love Deliver Us and A New Dawn though.

Guess that's it Well after the soso Clarity album, the pukey Sense of Purpose and the quite pleasant Sounds of a Playground Fading, I was really expecting something nice from In Flames but if the forthcomuing album sounds like Rusted Nail, then it's a definitive nono for me !
