Rest in peace Eddie. Not my kind of music but he was a truly exceptional guitar player and has played some of the most memorable riffs and solos of hard rock.

No matter what music you like you still gotta love his amazing solo in Michael Jackson's Beat It. And don't forget the awesome keyboard riff in Jump that he also wrote. He was truly a one of a kind guitar player. R.I.P. legend.

Imagine remembering this guy just for a 45 second solo in a Michael Jackson song.

I regard this guy as one of the most if not the most creative guitar player. Always nice harmonies and odd techniques. Mean Street, Spanish Fly, Cathedral, Unchained, Eruption, Hot For Teacher, I'm The One, Pleasure Dome... There was always some nice ideas unheard of before. Like I said it's pretty sad he's only remembered for the hits. He influenced a whole lot of great guitar players over decades.

RIP Too bad that (as far as I know) he did not mend his relations with Michael and Sammy, but especially Michael. A great guitarist, a good songwriter, too bad he wasted his skills and talent after 1984 by playing stupid Americana music. However, his legacy is undeniable.
